All religion and spiritual belief focuses on a promise to reach a place where we do not struggle, have no fear, and there is no pain. It's a place where with a thought you can have what ever you wish. To me... this is ridiculous. Not ridiculous in the sense that I don't want that. Ridiculous in the sense that, because people focus on getting to a Heaven or trying to reach Nirvana - they are not focused on the reality of life.
Reasons why it's ridiculous:
1. This type of belief puts a person in a dilemma.
2. This belief puts unnecessary torment onto the life of a person from the perspective of religious or spiritual context.
3. It pits our psyche against itself (fighting for self preservation vs. giving up on self preservation.)
Before I explain these ideas there are a few things that should be understood about how I reached this conclusion.
These are not necessary to read first, but you will probably want to read the following at some point to get the bigger picture. They follow as:
1. Buddha was a bum.
2. Jesus was just a man whose message was lost, corrupted, and other wise forgotten. But, the bottom line was: He was trying to stop Judaism.
3. The Jewish people are not favored by God. (Which relates to why Jesus was).
4. The Islam nation does not understand the words within the Qur'an.
5. You might as well worship the Sun.
