The first thing that you have to understand is...all religions were created to give hope for the future. A persons individual future. And the very start of the idea of religious beliefs came about through men that had enough time on their hands to contemplate their existence in the world. This is important to understand. Give a person time to sit and think, they will draw conclusions based on the knowledge of what is known and fantasize about what is unknown. This is why the imagination of the first philosophers on the subject of Gods came up with a different god controlling different parts of reality. Because what was known at the time is that there was a separation of work done by people. So, the same must go for the Gods.
But, the most remarkable aspect of these primitive humans is that when they looked into the night sky, it shined with the brilliance of billions of star light, unlike someone looking at the sky today from their backyard. Where only a few of the brightest stars can be seen. The day sky was also an endless vision of beauty. By looking up and thinking (philosophizing about life) these early humans were overwhelmed with the idea that there had to be something bigger than themselves. It was their imagination that filled in the gaps of what they could not know. This is also very important to understand when we get to the formation of modern religions. They are all based on the philosophy of certain men that had time to contemplate - why do we feel that there is something bigger than the self. The bias toward ideas that originate from philosophical thought has always been evident. Everyone that are told these ideas from these philosophers would either agree - "Hey, that sounds good to me....I don't have the time to sit and think about it, because I've got to much work to do and a family to take care of...so, if you say so....cool!" or disagree - "Are you nuts! I have my own ideas on that, and let me tell you....you're crazy." or maybe, " I could care less about all that. I am alive. I am here. That's all that matters. And I will do great things for this world.....myself!". to be continued.....
